Beaverbrook Hotel in Leatherhead has finally opened the doors to its spa facilities and Surrey Live was invited along to take a sneak peek inside.
Named The Coach House Health Club and Spa, it is one of the final parts of a multi-million pound revamp to the property.
Last year saw the launch of new rooms, a cookery school and a fine dining Japanese restaurant inside the main building.
Taking influences from the charming countryside grounds, The Coach House reflects a natural healing philosophy throughout its extensive range of treatments, deli and state of the art facilities.
Upon entering the impressive floral entrance, the eloquent designs of world-renowned artist Brian Clarke, which further connects the interiors to the splendour of the Beaverbrook Estate, will undoubtedly blow you away.
A magnificent stained glass ceiling of autumnal oak leaves creates a warming welcome and the woodland theme immediately puts guests at ease.
Divided by enchanting tiled corridors to ensure each branch of the spa remains peaceful and exclusive, flip flopped guests can explore the bewitching maze with frenzy, stopping off at the treatment rooms, thermal spa, pool and relaxation area at their leisure.
Natural wood, glossy tiles and a flush colour scheme of royal blue, emerald green and ruby red create the most original backdrop, certainly giving newcomers the wow factor.
The pool facilities:
The Thermal Spa includes a 34°c jacuzzi, steam room and sauna as well as The English Bath House, a variation of the traditional hammam.
Two pools, one indoor and one 20-metre outdoor, as well as a children’s 8-metre outdoor splash pool makes up the swimming area.
Low lighting and minimalist decor establishes the indoor oasis as one of the most tranquil spots on the estate.
There are six treatment rooms all incorporating a flower from Brian Clarke’s art; the rose, the daffodil, the primrose, the cherry blossom, wisteria and the apple.
Those having a back massage will be able to study the intricacy of his idyllic creations while indulging in the soothing fingertips of one of the talented therapists.
On that note, all of the staff at The Coach House are specially trained, friendly and passionate about providing a unique experience, tailored to individual needs.
Clients are given a complimentary foot massage while filling out there consolation forms and discussing the deluxe products used in their chosen bespoke treatment.
Again, simply dressed with just the essentials to provide an organic and elegant feel, each treatment room also possesses its own private garden for those summer ponders.
A Relaxation Lounge kitted out with sumptuous olive coloured armchairs is warmed by a glowing fire and can be used before or after a treatment.
The Gym and The Studio:
On the first floor, The Gym offers state of the art equipment with natural light and stunning views over the Surrey Hills.
Featuring the Technogym Artis range, a rustic brick wall divides the cardio machines from the weights section.
The Studio offers a range of uplifting and relaxing classes for Health Club members and hotel residents, including pilates and yoga.
The Studio is a place to re-energise the body and a full schedule of fitness classes are available at reception.
The expert fitness team offer Postural Assessments to help build personal exercise programmes to benefit the body and improve lifestyle.
Open every day for breakfast, lunch and healthy snacks, the café serves nothing but wholesome food and is a calming place to re-fuel before or after a workout or treatment.
