Campo not seeking election for appointed council seat: Short Takes on Avon, Avon Lake and North Ridgeville

“After much deliberation, I am choosing to explore other ways I can be of service to my community,” Campo wrote in an email. “Therefore, I will not be running for election to the Ward 3 council position in 2019.  My term ends December of 2019, and I will be working hard through the duration of my term.  I appreciate the opportunity to serve on council, and I encourage others to get involved in city government.”

Campo is an Avon Lake High School graduate and currently works for the school district as a paraprofessional.

Ward 3 residents interested in running for the seat should contact the Lorain County Board of Elections at loraincountyelections.com for information on the process.
