Just before that, fresh from giving the whole game away for nothing, EA has a whole bunch of free Pride content to bring your way.

It’s due to kick off on June 19, with free content for The Sims 4 as well as The Sims Online and The Sims Mobile.

EA has teamed up with the Its Gets Better project, which supports LGBTQ+ kids, to bring “exclusive It Gets Better and pride in-game clothing”, as well as in-game items such as a long overdue gender-neutral bathroom door.

The Island Living expansion meanwhile promises your Sims “a laid-back lifestyle on the tropical island of Sulani,” with plenty of stuff to keep them and you busy.

As well as new work options, there are plenty of chances for play too

You’ll be able to party on the beach and even have some fun in the ocean.

As well as being able to play with dolphins, Island Living continues that Pride theme with Mermaids.

The pack includes “local folklore, tasting traditional delicacies, dressing in tropical garb or decorating their new oasis with objects inspired by the local culture.”

Finally, there’s a new conservationist career, as well as being able to be a lifeguard at the beach or even go fishing.

Meanwhile, the E3 festivities are kicking off in Los Angeles, with Microsoft’s briefing on Sunday expected to bring news of the Xbox 2 and their latest in cloud gaming technology.

Sony aren’t attending this year, however, so don’t hold your breath for PS5 updates.

Sun Gaming will be at the show, to stay tuned for more news as it breaks.
