Local interior decorators set up shop in Beverly – News – Marblehead Reporter

Three North Shore women have partnered to bring a brand new interior design shop, filled with home decor items, to Beverly’s downtown.

Located at 5 Broadway, the storefront serves as the home base for Molly Booth of Molly Booth Interiors, Katie Pagley of Made with Love by KLove and Diane DiSanto of Design to the Nines.

While all three have a common love of interior design, they all bring something special to the table. DiSanto is a professional stager, prepping homes that are hitting the real estate market. Booth is a longtime interior designer. And Pagley paints and restores furniture and creates hand-lettered signage.

The shop, which is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., is a place where customers can peruse home decor items on display, meet with each of the women to discuss a potential job and look through their portfolios.

“We have a ton of art that’s well-priced,” Booth said. “There are a lot of affordable one-of-a-kind pieces.”

Booth, who had a studio in Marblehead for a while, said she and Pagley, her daughter, were looking for a space out of which they could both work. She then ran the idea by DiSanto, who also came on board.

“We love Beverly,” Booth said. “And we would love to be here long-term.”

Starting out in 1995, Booth has over 20 years of interior design experience, offering innovative ideas through color consultations and space planning.

She creates custom designs that incorporate every aspect of a room, from lighting and floor coverings to fabric selection and window treatments, and everything in between.

“I really love the relationships that you make with people,” she said. “When you complete a space that they love, it’s exciting and rewarding.”

Originally from Marblehead, Booth worked in a renowned furniture store there before opening her own studio in 2011.

When Pagley created hand-lettered decor for her own wedding last year, she had no idea it would turn into a business. But when several of her guests asked her to create custom items for them, the venture grew organically from there.

Now, she creates one-of-a-kind, hand-lettered pieces for weddings and other special occasions, turning ideas into reality for her customers.

“There’s satisfaction in seeing a piece when it’s done,” she said. “It starts out as this vision in my head, and then it come to life for someone’s special moment.”

Originally from Marblehead and currently residing in Groveland, Pagley also paints and restores furniture. And Booth often uses her daughter’s creations in her clients’ homes.

“I’ve worked with my mom for a long time,” Pagley said. “We both have the same eye for things.”

And she’s excited to finally have a storefront where she can display her creativity.

“It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while, and this seemed like a good opportunity,” she said. “Beverly’s a lot different than Marblehead. There’s a lot of foot traffic here.”

Design to the Nines

DiSanto, a Hamilton native, said she started out wanting to flip homes 14 years ago; it wasn’t long before she started hearing about home staging as an option.

The goal of home staging is to update a home that’s for sale to make it more attractive to potential buyers.

“I love the before and after, especially with a flip that’s been lived in and worn … taking that property and bringing it back to life again.” DiSanto said. “And I love hearing the word ‘wow.’”

With similar backgrounds and a shared interest in design, DiSanto said she was more than happy to partner with Pagley and Booth to open up a storefront in Beverly.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to have a presence on Cabot Street,” she said. “I hadn’t really been actively looking, but it was on my bucket list.”
