LOOK: Instagram-worthy spots to take Christmas photos

To take a photo of the whole facade, take it from the side of the building.

To take good photos of the trees with the white LEDs, go to the left side of the main building, when coming from the pedestrian entrance. The trees are more clustered in that area.

In the show area heading toward Market! Market!, use the body of water as a reflection of the LED Christmas lights.

There are various animal structures that are itself Instagrammable. Generally, shoot wide, keep a distance from your subjects, and add other displays like LED lights to add more elements to your picture.

The row of skyscraper lights are also a nice photo opportunity. Position yourself on the opposite side of Eastwood Cyberpark to get the towers in a row.

When the show is on, shoot in front of the fountain area to get some reflection from the water. If the show is already done, take a photo from behind the Mickey Mouse structure, it’s a good spot to shoot the rest of the lights up close.

When shooting at the show area, take photos from the side as there is a big gap from the display and the audience area. Try to lock in focus and exposure by holding your finger in one area of your choice to activate AF/AE Lock.

To take a good photo of the trees and the Mickey Mouse structure in the background, go near the side of the entrance. Shoot above your head by extending your arms as high as you can.

To take in a good wide shot of the ICE at Lumina Walkway, go to the far corner of the room at the end of the bridge. Try to shoot with your back on the wall to go as wide as you can, depending on your camera lens.

To shoot the walkway itself, position yourself on the side of the tunnel to show the stretch of the walkway.

Shoot from the sides of the main building, near the foot of either ramp to get everything, including the fountain. Wait for all the shadow displays to appear.

Position yourself in the second floor bridge to get a wide shot of the hanging decor over the street.

Position yourself at either end of the tunnel to get the stretch of the display. Watch out for incoming traffic as you shoot.

To shoot the whole of Uptown Mall, position yourself on the corner of the Ritz Uptown. To get a more focused shot on the lighting at the facade of the office space, shoot from the second floor of the Uptown Parade across the street from the mall.

To shoot the parols along the walkway in front of Uptown Parade, go past the kiosks. If you want to include the lights from the office space at the Uptown Mall, position yourself on the sidewalk fronting Xylo.
